For our first issue, we fittingly wanted to center the idea of coming out for our main photoshoot. A canon event for most young queer people, we documented the stages of coming to terms with one’s identity, from self hatred and internalized homophobia to internally coming out to coming out to family to having a first love. While the story we depicted is sadly not everyone’s experience, we chose to imagine a world where everyone is loved and embraced, a world we hope will exist one day.
